Here’s How to Get a Free Apple TV or Fire TV Stick
Traditional cable boxes are so last year, and AT&T is about to capitalize on that fact big time. When you pay $105 to sign up for three months of their upcoming DirecTV Now streaming service, you’ll get a free Apple TV (which would normally cost $150). If you don’t want to get locked in for three months, you can pay $35 to sign up for just one month and get a free Fire TV Stick (normally $40). If you really don’t want to commit, you can do a seven-day free trial.
According to Variety, DirecTV Now will be released later this month and offer more than 100 channels. The folks over at Business Insider predict that HBO, Starz, AMC, Disney and more will be among the lineup, since AT&T has already signed deals with them. So you could be watching Season 7 of Game of Thrones on an Apple TV that you got for free. (Here’s what to watch while you wait for the delayed season. *sniffle*)
Of course, this doesn’t mean that you should get rid of Netflix — you’re still gonna want to binge your favorite shows, and DirecTV Now isn’t looking to take over that space. Plus, where else are you going to get season two of Stranger Things?
