Here’s Why Trump’s Election Means You May Want to Get an IUD Soon
Though many may now be debating the morality and ethics of bringing children into the world during its current questionable state, that’s not the only reason to make some serious (and immediate) decisions regarding your birth control. Here’s why Trump being elected as the next President may mean you should consider getting an IUD… like NOW.
So what’s the worry? Well, it soon might be much harder to get birth control.
Donald Trump was very clearly pro-life during his campaign (despite saying he was pro-choice in the past), and on top of that, Trump’s future VP, Mike Pence, is well-known for his record of voting to restrict women’s healthcare.
With birth-control pills currently free under the Affordable Care Act, Trump has said that he will ask Congress to repeal this on the first day of his administration. That means funding and access to other forms of birth control like IUDs could be on the chopping block.
That’s why folks are advising those who don’t want to get pregnant to take care of their birth control needs before the de-funding and restrictions kick into action.
IF YOU CAN GET PREGNANT: TRY TO GET AN IUD IN THE NEXT 70 DAYS WHILE YOU ARE STILL COVERED.

Although some people think you should get the sitch taken care of NOW…

You can even get an IUD that lasts longer than Trump will be in office…
Get your IUD. If you have light periods, opt for a Paragard, which can last 10-12 years. Get your birth control that will outlast Trump.

It’s definitely something to consider if you’re not keen on getting pregnant or having to fight for birth control.
