This Model’s Colorful Wedding Dress Is Perfect for Modern Brides
With Bridal Fashion Week in full swing, we’re definitely Pinning more of those gorgeous white dress than usual. Whether it’s one of the looks from Zac Posen’s line for David’s Bridal or Allison William’s gown, there’s no denying we’ve got weddings on the brain. But just in case you haven’t had enough inspiration yet, coming at you with another stunner. This time, it’s American model Hilary Rhoda who recently walked down in the aisle in what might be one of the coolest wedding dresses we’ve ever seen.
Rhoda wed former NHL player Sean Avery this past weekend in an outdoor ceremony at the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, New York. As you can probably assume, the wedding was gorgeous. But what really caught our eye was Rhoda’s stunning Carolina Herrera gown. The dress featured a plunging neckline with a sparkling green underlay, a low-cut back and a black, round studded collar.
Somehow, Rhoda’s figure-hugging gown managed to look classic and modern all at once. The slim silhouette and high collar added a traditional touch while that flash of green and black gave it a subtle, non-traditional spin. If you thought a colored dress was only for the bravest of brides it looks like you might just have some reevaluating to do.
