J.K. Rowling’s The History of Magic in North America Will Change the Way You See EVERYTHING
As if Harry Potter wasn’t already a mighty magical force in our world (even having this surprising effect on baby names and influencing our Hogwart’s inspired home decor), there’s now yet another reason for some justifiably over-the-top excitement, magic-lovin’ muggles! J.K. Rowling’s brand new stories, The History of Magic in North America, are ready for our rabid reading pleasure, and a trailer has just been released that’s about to change everything you thought you knew about the world around you.
“The wizarding world you thought you knew, is much larger than you imagined,” the trailer opens, already eliciting excited chills. “History has many secrets. The official story is never the whole story. Look beyond the surface and you’ll find another world running parallel to our own. A secret world, where magic is real.”
Oh boy! Oh wow! Oh geez!
The trailer then drops various events during the history of the US and hints that there might be more to them than we could have ever imagined. “These aren’t myths, for the history of America is more amazing than you could ever imagine. Everything you think you know is about to change.” O…M…G. We’re ready!
The History Magic of North America, which is a series of completely original stories, will be exclusively available at Pottermore.com, magically appearing on March 8 at 9 a.m. EST.
But, wait, wizard-lovers, that’s not all! The end of the trailer teases a November event that will see the launch of “a whole new era of the wizarding world.” The title Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them flashes onscreen and, with that, the muggles over here are going WILD with wizarding excitement.
