Hoda Kotb Reveals She’s Adopted a Baby Girl With a Name That Evokes Pure “Joy”
Hollywood is bursting with baby news these days! With George and Amal Clooney expecting their first babies (plural) and Beyoncé also expecting twins, along with recent pregnancy announcements from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hannah Jeter, and Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren Akins, we’re seeing baby-mania in Tinsel Town like never before.
Now, it’s Today Show co-anchor, Hoda Kotb, who has some exciting news to share. She’s adopted a baby girl, and her first pic of the little one, as well as her super sweet name, will make you feel pure happiness.
While Kotb has been taking some time off, fans weren’t let in on the reason why, with even the new mom’s friend and co-anchor, Kathie Lee Gifford, admitting, “Do you know how hard it has been to keep this secret? I’ve got the biggest mouth in the world and I’ve said ziltch!”
But now the news is out, and the Today Show family is welcoming one little Haley Joy.

53-year-old Kotb called in to make the big announcement, saying, “I do have something to tell you, but you know what, how about this, instead of telling you, I’m going to show you something.” With that, a pic popped up and OMG! So sweet!
Kotb continued, with more than just a little emotion, “That little girl, Haley Joy — I’m crying — is my daughter. I adopted her, and you can hear her, that’s her crying. She’s a Valentine’s baby. She’s a little nugget. She is the love of my life.”
So thrilled for @hodakotb and her precious daughter, Haley Joy!! She will be the best mommy ever! We love you, Hoda, enjoy every moment!❤️❤️
