Let’s get to it, dudes.
Set up a double boiler by fitting a glass or metal bowl on top of a pot of boiling water. Once the water is boiling, add the beeswax and coconut oil. (FYI: We used 1/2 cup of both beeswax and coconut oil to make three tins’ worth of taming wax.)
Stir occasionally as the two ingredients melt.
The solution is ready to go once there are no more solid pieces of wax.
Pro Tip: Keep the wax solution on low heat until you’re ready to pour — it solidifies quickly!
Pour your wax solution into shallow tins.
Wait for the solution to fully solidify — about 15 minutes.
Print our labels onto sticker paper (you can download them here), cut them out, and stick ’em on each tin.
Bing bang boom. That was TOO easy.
Here’s photographer Kurt looking mighty apprehensive about trying out the ‘stache wax. But he’s considering it.
Good thing One Brown Hand (okay, two brown hands) were there to help him out.
