We'll never tire of sipping a mug filled with creamy hot chocolate or hot cocoa and marshmallows. That's probably why brands are taking note as the flavor is popping up in all sorts of store-bought candies and sweet snacks. We're going to go ahead and call it... peppermint and gingerbread are old news. Hot cocoa with marshmallows is the seasonal holiday flavor of 2018! Here's proof.
Pillsbury Hot Cocoa Rolls With Marshmallow Icing ($4): These seasonal rolls are upgraded in a big way. Instead of cinnamon, they have a hot cocoa filling, and rather than a sugary glaze, the canister comes with a flavorful marshmallow icing. Find these Grands at Walmart, Target and Kroger.
M&M's Christmas Hot Cocoa ($3): The holiday M&Ms are made with milk chocolate and feature a white chocolate, marshmallow-flavored center, for a fun mix on a classic. FYI, these are a Target exclusive holiday candy.
Smashmallow Hot Cocoa ($4): The snackable, all-natural marshmallows now come in a hot cocoa flavor. Toss them in your hot cocoa or eat them solo... either one is a good choice. Find them at Target or grocery stores.
Dove Hot Cocoa ($4): These candies have a silky smooth chocolate and a marshmallow crème center, and each foil-wrapped chocolate has a sweet message inside. You can get them at Target.
Trader Joe's Hot Cocoa O's ($3): While cereal is a nutritious start to any morning, Hot Cocoa O’s let you indulge a little. They are made with oat flour, corn flour, and cocoa and come packed with plenty of crunchy freeze-dried marshmallow bits. Once you add the milk, it's like having chilled "hot" cocoa for breakfast. Find the cereal at Trader Joe's.
Hot Cocoa Hershey’s Kisses ($3): The sweet marshmallow crème center is surrounded by a rich hot cocoa plume. It's like a hot cocoa, except you can pop one in your mouth any time, any day. Find them at Walmart, Target, or on Amazon.
