A Houston Astros Player Proposed to His Girlfriend on Live TV After Winning the World Series
The Houston Astros made history last night by winning the World Series over the Los Angeles Dodgers and claiming the very first championship title in the team’s history. But that wasn’t the only life-changing moment we witnessed: Astros shortstop Carlos Correa made the night *extra* special by proposing to his girlfriend, former Miss Texas USA Daniella Rodriguez, on live TV!
Standing on the field for a post-game interview with Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal, the athlete interrupted their chat to ask his beauty queen GF, who was in the seats nearby, a very important question.
“Right now, I’m about to take another big step in my life,” the World Series champ said as he reached into his back pocket to pull out a ring. “Daniella Rodriguez, you make me the happiest man in the world. Will you marry me?”

Rodriguez was clearly shocked, immediately covering her face with her hands, but after many tears and a lot of “oh my Gods!” there was, of course, a yes.
The bride-to-be gave her own post-engagement interview, showing off her massive engagement ring, and from the looks of things, it’s definitely big enough to give Correa’s World Series bling a run for its money!
Congrats to the happy couple!
