4 Ways to Get Rid of Wrinkles Without an Iron
Excitement around Brit HQ is at an all-time high, with the just-days-from-now release of our book, Homemakers, on the horizon. For today’s sneak peek, we’re serving up four must-know hacks for getting rid of wrinkles, even if you don’t have an iron.
We’ve all been there. We’ve dreamed up the perfect outfit for an interview, date or night out with friends and then, alas: WRINKLES. The worst. Though we often admit to subscribing to the “I’ll just wear this and then the wrinkles will fall out naturally” routine, it’s not a great move when you don’t have an entire day to hang around in your perfect little ‘fit. Unlike previous generations of stylish women, not all of us have our iron at the ready… or even in our apartments. So, what’s a gal to do besides try to embrace a Zoolander-inspired derelicte trend? One of these four iron-free hacks!
Hot Shower Hack: Crank up the steam. This is a favorite hack for hotel rooms and apartments alike. Hang up your outfit in your bathroom during a hot shower.
Repurpose Your Flat Iron: You can use a flat iron to smooth out creases on your collars and cuffs! I can personally tell you that my husband uses this hack almost every morning. And even though this is his jam, I still raise an eyebrow every time I see him plug in my flat iron.
Spin Cycle: Give your wrinkly garment a quick spin in the dryer. Done and done.
Blow Out: What do you do to your hair when you need a blowout in a matter of minutes? Spray it with water and blow dry that ‘ish! You can take a similar approach to getting rid of wrinkles. Spray the wrinkled part of your garment with water, then dry with a blow dryer to smooth out wrinkles.
Be sure to pre-order Homemakers for over 1,000 tips and tricks for living more creatively, inside and outside the home.
