How to Make It Big On YouTube
Remember when our nightly entertainment relied on the cable TV schedule? And to become a star, you had to hire an agent, be an extra on a million sets and work your way up? Those days are pretty much gone. Now, anyone with a great personality and decent equipment can make their own content and reach millions. YouTube has become the place to go for everything from festival makeup tutorials to easy workouts you can do at home and, of course, vloggers whose lives you’ll be totally jealous of. But what does it take to actually get to that point? Digital Intelligence company NetImperative wants to let you in on the secret.
The company put together an infographic that outlines everything from branding to equipment and content that you’ll need to get started on a successful YouTube channel. For instance, they say, a great way to build your community is to collaborate with other YouTubers. “This is a great way to build your fan base,” they say, “especially if you collaborate with someone who has a lot more subscribers than you. It builds a fun and healthy environment that more people can relate to.”
And, if you do nothing else, be consistent. “If you go weeks without uploading anything, the chances of you losing subscribers are very high,” NetImperative says. “Fans appreciate loyalty and dedication, so make sure you set aside a day of the week for uploading videos, and let your viewers know about it.” Scroll on for the full infographic below!
So if you’re ready to start your own channel, looks like you’ve got some homework!
