How to Make Your Own Wine Labels (+ Delicious Winter Sangria!)
As you know, here at Brit + Co we love a good cocktail. Last year we brought you glittery bottled cocktails, and this year we decided to turn our attention to one of our other best friends — wine. We’ll show you how to DIY your own wine labels for preexisting bottles or a new bottle of your own. If you aren’t able to age your own wine, we’ve got a great winter sangria alternative to fill those empty bottles.
Materials:
– cardstock
– pens
– washi tape
– Scotch double-sided tape
Tools:
– X-acto
– cutting mat
– ruler
Instructions:
1. Measure out a rectangle measuring 4 x 11 inches.
2. Use washi tape to mark off the center 2.5 inches.
3. Draw your cute saying between the lines of washi.
4. Tape on to your bottle of wine. Enjoy!
Cut out your label from fun patterned cardstock. The rectangle should measure 4 x 11 inches.
Use the washi tape to mark off the center 2.5 inches. This is where you will write your love message. Try to keep it within these lines or your message will be hard to read once wrapped around the bottle.
Kisses!! Happy V-Day, cutie.
Make a bunch to give out to your best friends.
Wine = Love potion for sure.
Get creative! Use cute icons with your text.
Feeling lazy and don’t want to drag out the cutting mat? We feel you, no worries. Try ripping the edges for a torn notebook effect.
Use double-sided sticky tape to attach your label to the bottle of wine.
Decorate the seam with colorful washi!
Personal wine labels can turn any $6.00 bottle of wine into a million bucks ;)
Bring out the glasses! Cheers!
