How to Watch Tonight’s Presidential Debate Without a TV
Young people are a powerful force in politics, which is why you always hear about politicians catering to the millennial vote. But you also hear about millennials who don’t watch TV anymore. (Why would we, when we have Netflix marathons!?) The sans-TV lifestyle is great — up until there’s a major event broadcasting on TV and you have no way to watch it. Have no fear: We’ve got you covered. If you’re trying to watch tonight’s presidential debate, here are all the workarounds to get it on your phone/computer/tablet/millennial device.
Twitter: For the first time ever, Twitter is going to stream the debate online in conjunction with Bloomberg. You’ll be able to get it on Twitter’s mobile app, Apple TV or your computer. You don’t need a Twitter account to watch, just go to the website and follow prompts. The coverage will start at 8:30pm ET on debates.twitter.com.
Facebook: Log in tonight and watch live streams from ABC News and PBS Newshour.
Halfway cheats: If somebody you know pays for TV still (hey, Mom and Dad!), you can use their cable login information to watch live coverage from CNN and Fox News tonight. The debate starts at 9pm ET and 6pm PT.
