1. Abbott Elementary
Abbott Elementary is a mockumentary-style comedy that follows a group of passionate yet quirky teachers who tackle the ups and downs of working in an under-funded Philadelphia public school.
Led by Quinta Brunson, this series balances humor with discussions on real-world issues. Other actors who deliver standout performances include Tyler James Williams, Lisa Ann Walter, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Chris Perfetti.
Hulu
2. Good American Family
Starring Ellen Pompeo and Mark Duplass, Good American Family tells the unsettling true adoption story of Natalia Grace. They depict the real-life Kristine and Michael Barnett, a couple who adopt Natalia, a girl from Ukraine with a rare form of dwarfism.
However, after taking her in, the Barnetts begin to suspect that Natalia is actually an adult pretending to be a child and conning them. New episodes of Good American Family come out on Wednesdays, with five already available for streaming.
Hulu
3. Will Trent
Three seasons later, Will Trent is still entertaining audiences, largely in part due to the compelling lead performance by Ramón Rodriguez. He plays Will, a Georgia Bureau of Investigation special agent who navigates complicated cases while working alongside (or clashing with) the Atlanta PD.
Will Trent, which also features Erika Christensen, Gina Rodriguez, Sonja Sohn, and more, has reportedly been renewed for a fourth season.
Hulu
4. The Bear
Set in a chaotic Chicago kitchen, The Bear is a raw drama that goes way beyond food. Jeremy Allen White, most well-known for his role as Lip Gallagher in Shameless, stars as Carmen, a young fine-dining chef who has to return home and run his late brother's sandwich shop.
The Bear is an intense and emotional rollercoaster that explores themes of survival, identity, and grief. Jeremy is also joined by actors such as Ayo Edebiri, Liza Colón Zayas, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, and Abby Elliott.
Hulu
5. The Handmaid's Tale
This show debuted in 2017 and is a cornerstone of Hulu's original content. The Handmaid's Tale portrays an unnerving dystopian society where women are stripped of their rights and reduced to servitude, particularly if they are still able to get pregnant in the wake of so much world pollution.
Based on the novel by Margaret Atwood, the series follows June Osborne, a handmaid who risks everything to escape and reunite with her family. It has won multiple Emmys, a Golden Globe, and has six seasons.
Adult Swim
6. Rick and Morty
We'd be remiss if we didn't include Rick and Morty, a must-watch for anyone who loves sci-fi, weirdness, and unpredictability. This animated series takes viewers on interdimensional adventures with an eccentric scientist, Rick, and his impressionable grandson, Morty.
Rick and Morty first debuted in 2013 and continues to be one of the most hilarious and wild shows on Hulu.
Hulu
7. Only Murders in the Building
What happens when three neighbors obsessed with true crime find themselves in the middle of a murder inside their New York City apartment building? That's the premise of Only Murders in the Building.
Starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, the show combines mystery with comedy and won Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series at the SAG Awards. The best part? There are four seasons available for bingeing!
ABC
8. The Rookie
In The Rookie, actor Nathan Fillion portrays John Nolan, a 40-year-old who decides to join the LAPD after a life-changing event, becoming the oldest rookie on the force.
This causes him to encounter some steep learning curves and skepticism from his peers, but the series proves that fresh starts are possible at any age. Other cast members include Eric Winter, Alyssa Diaz, Mekia Cox, Melissa O'Neil, and Titus Makin Jr.
FX
9. Fargo
Created by Noah Hawley, Fargo weaves a different story of crime and corruption in each season, all of which are steeped in plenty of dark humor.
The TV iteration, which debuted in 2014, was inspired by the 1996 film of the same name. It has five seasons and features a rotating cast of standout actors in varying settings and time periods.
Hulu
10. What We Do in the Shadows
Finally, if you've ever wondered what it's like to be a vampire in modern-day Staten Island, check out What We Do in the Shadows. This mockumentary-style show follows a group of undead roommates as they deal with supernatural life in today's era. It's spooky yet silly and, like Fargo, leans into dark humor.
