You read that right. 77% of adults want to be creative, but don’t know where to start. That’s a fact we learned from our recent research report on makers and DIY.

We’re hungry for inspiration and education, but can’t find the time to search for it. As a company who champions creativity at every level, we can’t tell you how many times we’ve encountered women feeling intimidated or insecure about their creative skills. We used to be creative as children. We used to love painting, drawing and building and then our insecurities got in the way and things changed.

Our mission here at Brit + Co is to enable and inspire creativity in women. Creativity, as we define it, comes in many forms. It can be as quick and easy as a beautifully prepared meal for a group of close friends, or it can be as complex as fabricating an art installation entirely out of 3D printed geodes and LED lights. It can also be every creative thing in between. The key to this is one simple thing: We are all born creative.
