Idina Menzel Marries Aaron Lohr in “Magical” Wedding — See the Photos!
Broadway veteran and Frozen star Idina Menzel surprised fans Monday afternoon when she tweeted that she and her fiancé, former actor Aaron Lohr, had married over the weekend at their home in Los Angeles. The couple announced their engagement a year ago but kept their wedding plans mostly under wraps.

“Wanted to let you know… Married the love of my life #aaronlohr this weekend @ our home. Dad & son walked me down aisle. It was magical,” Menzel wrote to her followers.
Menzel — who is famous for her vocal and acting chops (as well as that time John Travolta just couldn’t figure out her name) — first met Lohr while shooting the 2005 movie adaptation of the iconic ’90s Broadway musical Rent (which also starred her ex-husband, Taye Diggs). Lohr had a small role in the film as Steve, and previously appeared in Disney’s Newsies and in the second and third Mighty Ducks movies. According to Page Six, he’s now a mental health professional, working as a therapist in an addiction facility in California.
Menzel and Lohr are clearly very happy together, but she admitted last year that she still feels guilt about her divorce from Diggs in 2013. “You have a lot of regret with a child, and feeling like you’re failing them in some way,” she said at the time, adding that what’s important for her and her ex is her son’s well-being. “Your child comes first. That’s all. It’s all about that. He comes first and you have to get past your own egos and you never talk bad about each other.”
