This weekend, participating IKEA stores across the US are hosting a two-day event called IKEA Make Room for Organization, and it’s just what the doctor ordered for living your most organized life.
On Saturday, January 27 and Sunday, January 28 from 9:30am to 4:00pm local time, many of the company’s stores will welcome loyal customers with plenty of discounts on organizational goods, interactive workshops to help you step up your decorating game, and, of course, lots of Swedish eats to hold you over while you get into a streamlined groove (think Sunday Swedish American breakfast, salmon, and chicken sandwiches).
You’ll also get $25 off any $150 in-store purchase, making everything you need to whip your home into shape even more affordable. Plus, IKEA Family members can scan their membership card for a chance to win a $100 IKEA gift card (there’ll be two winners per day, per local store).
Select furniture, including IKEA’s uber-popular HEMNES 6-drawer chest ($159) will be 20 percent off during the sale, with IVAR shelving units ($69) marked down by 15 percent, and featured activities, like a secret storage scavenger hunt, an under-bed storage workshop, a linen closet rescue/fitted sheet folding contest, and a storage made easy with ALGOT workshop, will also be of interest.
