IKEA Replaced Movie Seats With Beds at This Theater
You’re nuts, IKEA. You’ve lost your marbles, but we prefer it that way. You built a ridiculous vertical climbing wall, you hosted a sleepover and you are fighting climate change with meatballs. This latest craziness involves a December promo in Russia that brought IKEA to the silver screen. The Swedish furniture company took over a cinema in Khimki and transformed it into a comfy, cozy experience that was intended to feel like watching a movie from your own bed (minus your laptop, Hulu subscription and teddy bear).
They outfitted the cinema with not only beds and linens, but fun extras like slippers so that movie-goers could really make themselves at home. And while we recommend keeping your shoes on at the multiplex most of the time, this would be one of those exceptions.
Hey, we love a good IKEA hack...
Can someone figure out how to get IKEA to do this in our neighborhood? Let us know what you find out in the comments.
