IKEA Just Released 2 New Furniture Collections… And They’re Stunning
It’s no secret that we are major fans of IKEA around here. From the affordability, to the playful designs, to the endless hacking possibilities, they seem to be able to do no wrong – and let’s not forget about that one time they replaced movie seats with beds at a movie theater. That was pretty epic. And now our love affair with the furniture giant is about to be taken to the next level with two new lines of furniture set to hit stores next month.
While we don’t usually expect solid wood when we purchase from the Swedish chain, that’s all about to change. NORNÄS, a collection already available in the UK, is made of solid pine furniture inspired by and sourced from the north of Sweden. The other line, new to everyone, is SPRUTT, a clean-looking collection of small items specifically designed for “speedy mornings” (if you need some extra tips to help make those AMs run smoothly, IKEA has you covered there too). Here’s a sneak peek at a few of the pieces you can expect to see in the giant blue and yellow warehouse next month.
NORNÄS Collection
1. NORNÄS Bookcase ($159): Consider these bookcases a minimal version of IKEA’s beloved, but discontinued EXPEDIT shelves.
2. NORNÄS Table ($200): A good farm table is hard to find. A good one for $200? Well, that might just be a downright miracle.
3. NORNÄS Bench With Storage ($199): If you’re not in need of quite as much shelving, this option is slightly smaller but just as stunning — and you can sit on it!
4. NÖRNAS Side Table ($50): If you snag the farm table you might as well also grab this $50 attachment that can work as a desk, an extension or a little kids’ DIY zone.
5. NÖRNAS Glass-Door Wall Cabinet ($80): Whether you want to use it for your dishes or as a giant shadow box, the possibilities are endless for this space saver.

6. SPRUTT Shower Curtain ($8): Keep all your bathroom goodies where you’ll actually find them.
7. SPRUTT Towel Holder ($20) + SPRUTT Basket ($5): Looks like the DIY ladder hanger got an IKEA makeover and we totally approve.
8. SPRUTT Cart ($40): To anyone who has to choose between makeup and breakfast, this one’s for you.
9. SPRUTT Cabinet With Drawers ($90): Clean up all that extra clutter by tossing all your miscellaneous things in this cute, clean cabinet.
