Instant Pot Fans Are Headed for a (Literal) Meltdown With This Recall
Following the outcry after a popular This Is Us character died in a house fire, the last thing we want to hear is a cooking device could be overheating IRL. The current cause for concern is the Gem 65 8-in-1 Multicooker, a particular model of the famous Instant Pot, following some user reports of the pot overheating. We love our Instant Pot for all it can do for us, from slow cooking to pressure cooking and so much more, but this is a curve ball we are not ready for.
Instant Pot reports on its Facebook page that it has received a “small number of reports” about the overheating, that resulted in “localized melting damage to the underside of the product.”
