New year, new list of dream destinations to travel to, and we have some major inspo to get your wanderlust going. These Airbnbs offer unbelievable views, Instagrammable decor, and all the amenities you could ever hope for (hello, private Moroccan Riad with swimming pool). And best of all, some of these once-in-a-lifetime-worthy stays start as low as $32 USD per night. Yes, really. Time to look into those frequent-flier miles.
South Australia Villa ($348/night): Sea? Check. Sky? Check. Dazzling villa? Check. Glimpse another side of Australia on your next trip with a stop at this incredible home. It's situated at one of the highest points in the area, so you can bet the sunset views over the coast will be ridiculously good.
Berlin Design Loft ($58/night): Could any Airbnb capture the eclectic, industrial, off-the-wall style of Berlin better than this artsy loft? We don't think so. A full kitchen with custom glass detailing makes this the ideal place to hole up and cook, but the apartment is also situated in a killer spot for exploring the city at large too.
Modern Copenhagen Apartment ($170/night): MCM-lovers, this one's for you. This design-centric space is in the heart of Copenhagen's trendy Vesterbro neighborhood and is decorated in the city's signature Scandi-minimalist style. Design nerds, take notes.
Houseboat in Queens ($450/night): This crazy-creative houseboat gets our vote for close-to-home vacays that feel a world away. Located in the Jamaica Bay area of Rockaway Beach, the surprisingly roomy houseboat may have you considering a change of lifestyle after your stay. We love the retro rock-and-roll decor style of this boat (nicknamed "Ziggy Stardust" by its owners). Bonus: The surfboards and wetsuits are available for use during your stay, if you feel like taking the plunge.
Johannesburg Mountainside Cottage ($32/night): With JoBurg's status as a creative, high-design city now cemented, it's quickly becoming one of our favorite destinations. This cozy (and downright romantic) cottage, built into the side of a mountain, offers close proximity to downtown paired with the feel of a far-flung escape. We can't wait to sip a glass of wine on the deck overlooking the city sometime soon.
Joshua Tree Airstream Camper ($140/night): This 1966-era Airstream has been converted into the coolest spot around (just ask its avid Instagram followers). If a desert escape complete with nights spent under the stars sounds up your alley, you'll love this Joshua Tree retreat. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit for a soak in the hot tub under the big sky.
Private Marrakesh Riad ($476/night): Say hello to the Moroccan escape of our Instagram dreams. Picture yourself lounging by the pool in the courtyard or snapping selfies in a hammock on the roof. With four bedrooms and plenty of space to entertain, this is a seriously tempting pick for a girls' weekend or bridesmaid weekend.
Nashville Treehouse ($110/night): Check "sleep in a glam treehouse" off your bucket list. This perch in the trees is a great way to get close to nature while also seeing all that Nashville has to offer. Two decks and plenty of windows provide great sight lines for spotting deer and other friendly forest creatures during your stay.
New Delhi Earth House ($57/night): Can't decide between a vacay in the city or one in the wilderness? Why not both? This penthouse perch has floor-to-ceiling windows so you can take in all the beautiful sights and sounds of this exotic locale, including the breathtaking lake below.
Taos Spanish-Style House ($175/night): When visiting New Mexico, a stay in the signature Spanish-style earthen houses is a must. And you won't find a more luxurious home than this one. With six bedrooms and six baths, it's roomy enough for everyone in your crew, which is a good thing, since your photos of swimming at sunset here are sure to inspire some serious envy.
Historic Paris Mansion ($404/night): There's tons of history built right into this Parisian mansion. It's a private residence during most of the year, but if you can scoop up reservations during the family's vacation periods, you're in for a real treat. You'll find yourself in the heart of the city, near must-see spots like the Jardin du Luxembourg and the Panthéon. Mais, oui.
Palma de Mallorca Container House ($115/night): If you're planning to visit this Mediterranean resort city for its historic architecture, this container house may not be *quite* what you had in mind... but that's what makes it so special. The rooftop terrace with mini-pool was made for relaxing (and maybe taking a little siesta?) in the summer heat, and the bedroom overlooking the city offers a spectacular view at nighttime too.
Boho Tulum Penthouse ($216/night): If you haven't made it to Tulum yet, consider this the sign you've been waiting for. Mixing boho and modern/industrial style, this jaw-dropping penthouse in the jungle pairs eco-friendly amenities with some of the most stylish digs we've seen in the area. Whether you take advantage of the private yoga classes on the roof, or borrow a bike and head to the beach, there's no shortage of must-do activities to try. But those who want to relax will love this exotic perch as well.
Heber City A-Frame ($239/night): Don't be surprised if you never want to leave after setting foot in this stunning A-frame. Not only is its perch among the mountains of Heber City totally swoon-worthy, but it's hard to resist Instagramming every ounce of Scandi-inspired decor too. We're calling it now: This is our ultimate hygge escape.
