iPhone 7 Rumor: Apple’s New Phone Might Have a CRAZY Amount of Storage
With every update, iPhones become increasingly indispensable. We store more and more of our lives on our phones and do it in awesome new ways. But all of these cool new features take up space. And, as anyone who has had to face the terrifying prospect of deciding which photos to delete when trying to take a snapshot will tell you: Not having enough storage is one of the greatest challenges of the digital age. But a new iPhone 7 rumor could put that photo delete anxiety to rest — for good.
According to MacRumors, the iPhone 7 will likely be released with 32GB, 128GB and 256GB options. Two MAJOR things decoded: You’ll never again have to make the split decision of which of your photos to delete AND it looks like Apple is finally dropping the infamous 16GB model. OMG, deep breaths. Plus, it looks like this is one rumor that might actually hold water, as the new iPad Pro announced back in Apple’s March Event 2016 had a 256GB tier.
The new super-sized options come as great news for those that love storage-guzzling features, like Live Photo and 4K video. But it signals an end to the 16GB iPhone, which has stuck around ever since 2012. The mid-tier 64 GB option will also probably be off the table for good.
Although the iPhone 7 won’t premiere until the fall, we’ll keep you updated as more information emerges from the rumor mill.
