Jason Wu Is Designing an Extended Size Collection for ELOQUII
It’s not often you can get your hands on a piece of designer clothing for under $200, but we have news. One of Michelle Obama’s favorite designers, Jason Wu, is creating a collection with plus size-retailer ELOQUII for fall 2018. And while the actual designs haven’t been formally released yet, given Wu’s track record, we know it’s going to be gorg.
It’s not the first time the brand has partnered with a big name. Previous collaborations include an exclusive bridal collection with Stone Fox Bride, Teresa Maccapani Missoni and, most recently, with Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James.
As more and more designers recognize that offering extended sizes isn’t just inclusive, it’s also financially savvy (this is a $21 billion marker), Wu has never shied away from embracing realistic body types. “I am drawn to forward-thinking brands, so collaborating with ELOQUII is an exciting partnership,” Wu said in a press release. “The opportunity to innovate together and deliver an elevated product at an approachable price point will make this a truly original collaboration.”
As of right now, the brand is keeping the looks under wraps, but we did manage to get our hands on one sketch of a design from the collection. Based off of the drawing alone, we predict this collab is going to be heavy on style. And while you’re waiting with bated breath for more info (watch this space), you can also sign up at ELOQUII for updates on the launch.
