J.Crew and BHLDN Have 2 New (Affordable!) Bridal Collections You’ll Swoon Over
If you’re one of the millions of people who got engaged over the holidays (okay, maybe it wasn’t millions but it definitely feels like that to this single writer), it looks like your wedding planning might just be off to a running start with the recent release of not one but TWO new bridal collections that both have us looking like real life versions of the heart-eyed emoji.
BHLDN + Marchesa Notte
First up, a collaboration of two bridal legends. Ultra trendy bridal boutique BHLDN has teamed up with Marchesa Notte, another top designer. The two have come together to create a capsule collection of five pieces that all retail for $2,200 and under.
This is Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig’s (the designers behind Marchesa) first collaboration and it looks like it’s about to be a major success. The five dresses all give off that vintage look BHLDN is known for but also include an added ornate touch that’s a trademark of Marchesa Notte.
You’ll find a look similar to Whitney Port’s waterfall wedding dress topped with floral embroidery and a plunging neckline, a hand-beaded piece with a soft tulle skirt and an antique number featuring a boatneck, flutter sleeves and cowl-back. (Note: there is no designated page on BHLDN’s site for this collab so brides-to-be, be sure to check out all the looks here).
J.Crew
An easy pick for low-key brides, J.Crew’s bridal line is always packed full of pieces that offer up a bridal look with just the right amount of trendiness. The newly released spring + summer line is no different. Building off the separates trend they tested out last season (AKA a pair of sequined bridal shorts), the new lookbook includes a polka dotted tulle skirt ($750) that has us seriously thinking about ditching the dress. Sported with a basic white tee, this look would make for the most epic courthouse wedding ensemble.
However, if you’re looking for something a little more traditional, J.Crew has you covered there too. The Emilia Gown offers up a plunging neckline and empire waist that’ll look just as good in 50 years as it does today. The Lana Gown is clean and simple in front with an elegant button-up back and the Adele Dress is a super fun, short alternative that’s bound to turn all your flapper girl dreams into a reality. Check out the full collection here.
