J.Crew’s Head Stylist Says These Are Fall’s 2 Biggest Colors
Great news for those of you wanting to hold on to every last bit of summer with all your sartorial might. According to J.Crew’s Head Stylist, Gayle Spannaus, the sunniest color of them all — canary yellow — is going to be big this fall.
Mango Minimal Pockets Coat ($85), American Apparel High Rise Patent Mini Skirt ($97) + BDG Kia Tuck-Stitch Sweater ($59)
What’s more, it’s not the only vibrant hue to make the summer-to-fall leap. When asked what will be the most unexpected color of the season, Spannaus replied, “Cobalt. It works off of everything and it is in everyone’s wardrobe. It’s definitely the most versatile of the brights.” That and it’s a fun way to break up your blue denim uniform from now through basically the end of the year. Live by the style hack by unleashing your inner cozy girl with cobalt joggers that are comfier than denim but actually look way sleeker (score!) or try updating a slinky blue summer dress as a tunic over a pair of your favorite neutral trousers to get the most out of your summer wardrobe.
