J.Crew Just Invented Its Own Holiday to Celebrate Stripes

Sure, J.Crew is known for its insanely preppy clothing, its unconventional-yet-unmissable collaborations, and its affordably amazing accessories, but the brand may be best remembered for its love of stripes. The retailer proudly displays the pattern on wide-leg pants, maxi dresses, romantic blouses, you name it. Jenna Lyons and co. just can’t get enough. So we really shouldn’t be surprised that J.Crew invented a holiday just to celebrate stripes.
Called, wait for it, National Stripes Day, J.Crew wants you to wear your stripes on March 31, and presumably, buy something new for the occasion. And because those pretty stripes are nothing without a stylish pairing, J.Crew wants to see how you’re wearing yours. Upload a picture of yourself and add the hashtag #NationalStripesDay. But until then, look out for new items from the brand and an upcoming party in stores, where you can DIY your stripes.
