Tears Flow As Jenna Bush Hager and Today Show Hosts Share Thoughts About Body Image With Their Daughters
We do our best to keep that self-love vibe going, but TBH, it’s not always easy. That’s why it’s so important to have body-positive fitness books and a Youtube channel that’s all about girls inspiring girls, while also remembering to raise our own daughters to know how amazing they really are. Just ask the moms who came together on the Today Show to read beautifully emotional letters to their daughters that were all about self-love and body-positivity.
“I have never seen anything more beautiful than the two of you,” Jenna Bush Hager told her two daughters, while Hoda Kotb explained that she wants to share with her little one “some thoughts about the perfectly put together you.” And while the love is obvious, there are some words of wisdom that these moms want to give their children.
“I will confess just to you,” Savannah Guthrie says, as she dives deeper, “[Loving my body] is something I have never been very good at doing. But I’m hoping I can teach you to be different.” And there’s a key point: We may trip up when it comes to loving ourselves, but that’s okay. We can still try to teach our daughters (and sons) “to love and embrace the miraculous physical vessel[s] that [are] carrying [their] magnificent heart[s] and soul[s].”
Tears? Tears.
