Dancing With the Stars’ Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy Are Married!
Another Dancing With the Stars couple has tied the knot! Taking a cue from older brother Max Chmerkovskiy, who married and welcomed a baby with fellow pro Peta Murgatroyd in 2017, Val Chmerkovskiy said “I do” to Jenna Johnson on Saturday, April 13.
Chmerkovskiy and Johnson got engaged in Venice last June but decided to exchange vows a little closer to home, choosing the luxurious Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, which calls itself “Los Angeles’ premier oceanfront resort.”
According to People, the 25-year-old bride stunned in a Vera Wang mermaid gown with a high neckline and sheer long sleeves. Meanwhile, her groom looked dapper in a black velvet Brooks Brothers tuxedo.
The wedding party featured bridesmaid Lani, bridesman Adam Rippon, DWTS pro Lindsay Arnold, SYTYCD’s Gabby Diaz, and Johnson’s two sisters, Stacy Johnson Bills and Jill Zenger, who shared maid-of-honor duties. Chmerkovskiy had six groomsmen, including brother Maks.
Several other DWTS alums and pros were among the guests: Hayley Erbert, Witney Carson, Emma Slater, Sasha Farber, Mark Ballas, Cheryl Burke, Alan Bersten, Artem Chigvintsev, Brandon Armstrong, Nikki Bella, Candace Cameron Bure, Alfonso Ribeiro, Joe Amabile, Normani Kordei, Laurie Hernandez, and Ginger Zee.
The couple exchanged vows under a flower-covered chuppah, which was decked out in all-white tibet and garden roses, ranunculus, astilbe, lisianthus, and peonies. According to People, the lovebirds were “surrounded by a lush garden filled with white ivory, dashes of greenery, candles of varying heights and modern gold touches.”
Then it was time for dinner! Guests dined on crab and avocado salad, braised short rib and dill-crusted salmon, wilted baby kale and parmesan mashed potatoes, hazelnut cheesecake cherry brulee, chocolate mousse fudge torte, and caramel cheesecake crème brulee. The wedding cake was a five-tier creation from Vanilla Bake Shop in Santa Monica.
After the wedding, the beaming bride shared an exclusive photo on Instagram, which she captioned, “Mr. & Mrs. Chmerkovskiy 04-13-2019.”
