Find Out the $2 Secret to Jennifer Aniston’s Signature Beach Waves

If you think Jennifer Aniston’s hair is thanks to an arsenal of pricey products — think again. Her longtime hairstylist, Chris McMillan, just revealed the two drugstore beauty buys essential to her perfect beachy waves. Bonus: One of them costs less than your latte.

Talk about her all you like, but with great friends, new projects, and still-perfect hair, September cover star Jennifer Aniston is doing just fine. And at 49, she knows who she is. That means no boundaries, no bullshit, and lots of laughing. “For the most part I can sit back and laugh at the ridiculous headlines because they have gotten more and more absurd,” she tells her close friend @MMcNearney, who interviewed her for her refreshingly candid cover story. “I guess they’re feeding into some sort of need the public has, but I focus on my work, my friends, my animals, and how we can make the world a better place. That other stuff is junk food that needs to go back in its drawer.” Read the full interview at the link in bio. | Photographed by @BenHassett; Styled by @JuliaVonBoehm

The Dumplin‘ actress, perfectly tousled mane and all, appears on the cover of InStyle‘s September 2018 issue. While her Alexander McQueen outfit might break your budget, those seemingly effortless loose waves come thanks to a couple of seriously affordable products. Aniston’s stylist (and BFF) used the Sebastian Professional Whipped Crème ($10) to create her soft waves and “a dab of” Murray’s Superior Hair Dressing Pomade ($2) to define them, according to McMillan’s Instagram. Of course, he also used the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, which retails for a cool $400, but at least you can attempt to DIY your own Aniston waves on the cheap, right?

For his part, McMillan told the magazine that he’s “so invested in her hair it’s scary,” and we couldn’t agree more.
