Jennifer Lawrence’s BFF Letter to Adele Is Total Friendship Goals
Jennifer Lawrence seems to be one half of all the celebrity friendships we’re super jealous of. First, she became BFFs with Amy Schumer. Then she was spotted giving Aziz Ansari a piggyback ride. And oh yeah, she also happens to have dinner dates with Adele. The iconic singer made it on Time Magazine’s recently released list of 100 Most Influential People, and to accompany the honor, J. Law penned yet another heartfelt essay, this time all about her super talented friend.
After dishing about how she and Adele first met (behind the scenes at the 2013 Oscars), Lawrence goes on to rave about Adele’s iconic album “21.” She says, “Suddenly there were words to that before-indescribable pain, frustration, sadness, then revolution that all comes from a breakup. I felt understood, I felt stronger, and above all, I hadn’t sung in front of a mirror with a hairbrush since Destiny’s Child.”
On a more personal note, J. Law then begins to write about everything that makes Adele great – “her intelligence. Her 500-year-old wisdom. Her patience and kindness all wrapped up in the tough skin of a damn gangster,” and how amazing she is with her family. She says, “We all see her success. Her undeniable talent and beauty. But what you don’t see is what a wonderful mother she is. What a wonderful partner and friend she is. That she makes her son’s Halloween costumes. Adele is a gift, an international treasure, but she’s also sweet, funny, intelligent and beautiful.”
Wow, we didn’t know this was possible, but now we’re even MORE jealous of this friendship than we were before.
