How to Rock the JLo Ponytail All Throughout Wedding Season

Nothing serves as greater hair inspiration than the Academy Awards, and 2015’s Oscars certainly didn’t disappoint. The pared-down makeup look sported by Beyoncé got loads of love. Meanwhile, Miss Jennifer Lopez rocked some pared down hair with the freshest, fiercest pony we’ve seen in awhile. How celeb-worthy would it be to rock this flirty pony during all those spring and summer weddings? Channel JLo on your or your friend’s big day with a dreamy, rich ponytail and maaaaybe a plunging neckline… if you dare.
STEP 1: ADD SOME CURL
If your hair doesn’t already have some curl to it, add some loose waves with a large-barrel curling iron.
STEP 2: CREATE A DEEP PART
JLo’s sleek ponytail is marked by a deep, clean part. Part on the side that is most flattering for you!
STEP 3: FORM YOUR PONYTAIL
Form your ponytail, and add sheen to the top of your head with shine spray or serum. We used Imagen’s Anti-Frizz Serum as it’s great for removing frizz, adding loads of shine and eliminating flyaways. A little goes a long way, so use sparingly.
After serum is applied, comb hair through once again to fully set in place.
STEP 4: DRESS UP YOUR PONY
Wrap hair around your pony base to create dimension and volume, and get that dressed-up, red-carpet-meets-white-carpet feel!
Tease your ponytail to create danceable volume. Next, comb through your teased pony to keep things flirty and bouncy, but at the same time sleek.
Boom! You now have a super fresh look for your or your bestie’s big day. Get ready for your closeup!
