Jessica Alba Has a New Home Decor Line You Need to See
We’re starting to have the sneaky feeling that Jessica Alba is one of the most perfect humans ever. Not only does she inspire us with her eco-friendly beauty products, her inspiring work with Honest Company, her impeccable taste in home decor and THE perfect haircut, but now she’s partnering up to give us the eco-conscious (and colorful) baby cribs we’ve been dreaming of. In an interview with My Domaine, Jessica talked about what inspired her to venture into the world of furniture and what we can look forward to in the future.
Jessica said she wanted to design a crib that wasn’t only environmentally conscious and socially responsible, but that was also manufactured to the highest safety standards, using renewable and sustainable materials. From sketches to product, the whole design process took over a year, but in the end she said it was so satisfying to see the crib come to life. And not only do these cribs look good, they do good too. With Honest Company’s “Buy One Give One” program, for every crib bought they will donate a crib to a family in need (they’ve already donated over 750!). The colors were chosen with gender-neutral nurseries in mind, but the bright pink and navy blue are a fun spin on the classic nursery palette. Jessica joked that “the [colors] are so rich; they will look great on a Pinterest board!” Don’t worry, Jessica, we’ve already pinned these beauties.
As a collaboration with nursery furniture brand Babyletto, these cribs are modern, chic, eco-friendly and everything we want to surround our children with. The cribs are available in coral, white, weathered gray and navy blue, and the site describes them as “mid-century modern meets heritage.” They have a classic feel with rounded, natural wood spindles and a modern edge with tapered legs and fresh color accents that bring the nursery to life. Spindles on both sides let you keep an eye on the goings-on, and there are four adjustable mattress positions so the crib can grow right along with baby.
We’re hoping this is only the Honest Co’s first foray into furniture and that we’ll all be picking up our very own bold + bright bedroom set in a few years’ time.
