On Tuesday, March 12, Alba took to Instagram to flaunt her new permanent designs alongside LA-based tattoo artist Doctor Woo. The constellations descending down her left forearm are undoubtedly delicate, but there’s a bigger meaning behind them: her children. Each of the astrological symbols represent the zodiac signs of her three kids (Honor, 10; Haven, 7; and Hayes, 1). “Honor Gemini ♊️ Haven Leo ♌️ Hayes Capricorn ♑️ ,” Alba wrote in the caption of her post.
The Honest Beauty founder also documented the whole tattoo session in an Instagram live video. While she noted that she already has a handful of tattoos that are rather regrettable, the Fantastic Four actress says that won’t be the case with her newest ink. “These are permanent and I won’t regret these ones,” she said in the video. “These are my babies.”
Alba isn’t the only one who’s been dabbling in new ink: Halle Berry and Lady Gaga recently showed off giant floral tattoos covering their spines, making permanent art an obvious style accessory to Hollywood’s elite.
