You Won’t Believe What Jessica Biel’s New Web Series Is About
You may be long past puberty and even think you have this whole sex education and women’s health thing down pat — but then something comes us, like you get pregnant or are trying to get pregnant, and you realize that there are some glaring gaps in your understanding about your own body. According to an interview with Glamour, this is exactly what happened to Jessica Biel. The celeb and Justin Timberlake’s boo went off birth control with plans to get pregnant (psst: The Spark star is now mom to adorable five-month-old Silas Randall), but realized that she didn’t know the first thing about how to ensure she would conceive at the healthiest time. Due to this epiphany, the actress has teamed up with WomanCare Global for a series of videos that are intended to educate girls and women about reproductive health.
The videos are intended to fill a huge hole in our sex education system in the US where less than half of the states (read: 22) have compulsory sex education. What? Seriously? The initiative, titled Then Who Will? states in their manifesto that they plan to eliminate “misconceptions, misinformation and myths about our bodies.” The vids will include info on everything from puberty to contraception, and approach women’s health with a tone that’s “goofy, smart and witty.” The videos will be dropping on September 28, so be sure to check it out on the WomanCare Global site.
Heck yes, can’t wait!
