JetBlue Makes Special Offers to the Families Affected by the Orlando Tragedy
As the country tries to deal with its collective grief over the tragedy this past weekend in Orlando, stories of “light and love and magic” are emerging, and people are coming together to support those who have been so sadly affected by the senseless act of violence. JetBlue Airways is one company that’s stepping up to help the best way they know how: bringing together families when they need each other the most by extending special offers to those whose loved ones were injured or tragically lost.
Releasing a statement via their website, JetBlue addressed their customers and those affected by the tragedy in Orlando, saying, “This weekend’s events are felt by all of our 19,000 crew members, many of whom live in, work from and travel through Orlando — one of our focus cities — at Orlando International Airport, our Orlando Support Center and JetBlue University.”
Wanting to do their part to help, they are offering free seats and fee waivers for those who may need them. Immediate family and domestic partners of victims who were killed or injured can book free seats on available flights to/from Orlando (contact 1-800-JETBLUE for details). If family members already had travel plans in place and need to change them, a cancellation fee waiver is in place for customers traveling to/from Orlando.
They are also providing internal support for any of their employees needing it and will be making a charitable contribution to support the victims and their families. Well done, JetBlue!
