‘Bachelorette’ Alum Jillian Harris Welcomes a Baby Girl — Find Out Her Name!
Former Bachelorette star Jillian Harris took to Instagram today, October 1, to announce the birth of her second child and to introduce followers to her new baby daughter.
“Welcome sweet Annie,” Harris captioned a pic of the newborn, tagging her fiancé, Justin Pasutto. “Best date night ever… a little golf, a little party in the delivery room, a little push, and a new little one to love!”
The Love It or List It Too host revealed her pregnancy back in April, posting a photo of herself, Pasutto, their dog, and the couple’s two-year-old son, Leo George. In the pic, little Leo wore a shirt that read, “Big Bro.”
At the time, Harris wrote, “Baby #2!!!!! Beyond grateful, excited, and FULL of love for this next stage of our lives! Thank you ALL already for the love, support, and ADVICE!!! We feel so lucky to have you all and be able to share this with you!!!!”
Later, in an interview with Today, she spoke about the struggles she faced early on in her pregnancy. “My pregnancy with Leo was a breeze,” she explained. “Women would say, ‘How do you feel?’ And I would say, ‘I feel wonderful!’ And they would say, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re so lucky.’ And I would think, ‘What’s the alternative?’ And now I know.”
“I was just so physically ill, and my body felt like it was shutting down,” she continued. “I wasn’t able to do anything I usually do. I felt so useless. Justin noticed it. At one point, he was like, ‘I know you’re struggling but if there is any way you could give me an indication that you’re happy, I would love to just see you smile.’ I looked at him and just started crying.”
Fortunately, by her second trimester, she felt more like herself, and in May she opened up about the joys of parenting in a blog post, writing, “I cannot believe how amazing being a mother is, I just FRICKIN love it!!”
