Joey Lawrence Says He and Mayim Bialik Want a Blossom Reboot
Younger fans may know Mayim Bialik best as the brilliant and quirky Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler on The Big Bang Theory, but back in the day, she was everyone’s favorite floppy-hat-wearing teen on Blossom. And since we’re firmly in the time of TV reboots (we’re looking at you Will & Grace, Dynasty, and, of course, Gilmore Girls), the obvious question is this: Could a Blossom revival happen? According to Bialik’s TV brother Joey Lawrence, it’s very much a possibility. Whoa!
Lawrence, now 41, starred as Joey Russo for five years from 1990 to 1995 and still has some loyal fans who are obviously eager to see him jump back into his old role. “We get asked to do that all the time. Mayim and I talk frequently,” he told Us Weekly. “Mayim is interested in doing some type of reunion with the show and so am I, if we can find the right piece and the right way in for a reboot/reunion. We’re both open to it. There’s a lot of talk around it, so we’ll see!”
He added, “We’ve talked about it and it’s about the public’s excitement continuing to grow, and we’re trying to find the right way in. Then we’re down!”
We’re pretty sure this needs to happen — like, 100 percent sure it NEEDS to happen.
