John Mayer Is Putting the Twitter Moves on Nicki Minaj and OMG
When it comes polar opposites, we can’t think a better example than Nicki Minaj and John Mayer. Though both are musicians, one spits a rap game hard enough to make your head spin, while the other croons sweet, soft love songs that can melt your heart with just a few notes.
Still, it didn’t stop the 39-year-old Mayer from putting the social media moves on the rapper via Twitter. Just two days ago, he expressed possible interest in the “No Frauds” singer, confessing that he often wonders how she would feel about him should the two meet.

Though he didn’t tag her, the 34-year-old songstress caught wind of his musings, answering right back with a flirty message of her own.

“Would my body be your wonderland?” she wrote, referencing his 2001 smash studio hit before quickly adding, “Asking for a friend.”
If you’re shocked, you’re not alone: The songwriter appeared to be having a mini freakout over the tweet himself.

“Please hold, losing my sh*t,” he wrote, making sure to note, “This isn’t my reply yet.”
Two days later, that reply has yet to come (at least publicly), though we can’t help but marvel over the irony of the would-be coupling. Not only would they be a surprising pair, but as you’ll recall, Mayer is also the ex of Minaj’s pal Katy Perry, with who she recently collaborated with for “Swish Swish.”
Twitter, for one, was in a frenzy over the seemingly odd pairing.
