Jordin Sparks Gives Birth to a Baby Boy: Find Out His Sweet Name!
Jordin Sparks is officially a mommy! The “Colors” singer and husband Dana Isaiah welcomed a healthy baby boy on Wednesday of this week, with the babe weighing in at 8 pounds, 5 ounces.
The parents forgoing the hospital in favor of a midwife at the Natural Birth Center & Women’s Wellness in LA. The American Idol alum spoke to People about their big day, saying, “Dana caught him with my midwife, Simona, and whenhe handed him to me, I was absolutely overwhelmed with joy. He was and is everything we imagined.”
The world got its first glimpse of the newborn and learned his name in a newly posted Instagram snap to the 28-year-old mommy’s page. “He’s here and we couldn’t be more in love,” she wrote, adding, “Go DJ!”
As People reports, DJ is short for the babe’s full moniker of Dana Thomas Isaiah Jr. Awww!
The couple, who secretly married back in July of 2017 while on vacation in Hawaii, revealed they were expecting a baby boy back in November with an adorable announcement photo of the two surrounded by blue confetti.
Now, Sparks says she’s eagerly awaiting all the precious moments that will come with motherhood — even the scraped knees. “I’ve always loved kids and knew that if given the blessing, that I would love and embrace it more than I realized. It’s only been a few days and I love it so much already. The joy, laughter, scrapes and bruises…I can’t wait for it all!”
