Julia Stiles Once Dated “Stranger Things” Star David Harbour and Our Minds Are Blown
Stranger Things’ star David Harbour recently won our hearts with his hilarious memes of himself twinning with nearly ever single cast member on his hit show, Stranger Things, but as it turns out, he also once had the heart of one of Hollywood’s leading ladies: Julia Stiles.
That’s right! While fans may be shipping “Jopper” (AKA Joyce Byers who’s played by Winona Ryder + Harbour’s character, Jim Hopper) these days, back in the day, the actor was all about the Save the Last Dance star.
Details around their former relationship are scarce, but as far as we can tell, the two met in 2011 while filming Between Us, released in the US in 2013.
Possibly finding romance on set, the two first sparked speculation of a love connection when they were spotted looking very much like a couple while walking around the streets of New York City.
They popped up on plenty of red carpets together thereafter, further fueling rumors of coupledom. Frankly, it’s not even clear when they broke up, though The New York Daily News reported that they split in 2012 (a fact that would seem to jive, as they weren’t spotted out at any industry events after June of that year).
Neither star has talked about the relationship publicly, either during their courtship or since, and considering it’s practically ancient history at this point, they’re not likely to delve into the sitch any time soon: particularly Stiles, who has both a new husband and a baby on the way.
Still, it’s a fun bit of trivia, no?
