Julia Stiles Gives Birth to Her First Child — Find Out the Unique Name She Chose!
Baby makes three! Julia Stiles and her husband, Preston Cook, have welcomed their first child, announcing not only the new arrival, but also the baby’s adorable name, via Instagram on Tuesday night.
“Strummer Newcomb Cook, born October 20, 2017,” Stiles captioned a sweet pic of her holding her newborn’s hand. “Thanks and ever thanks to the extraordinary Doctors, Nurses and staff at Mount Sinai for helping bring this utter joy into our lives. ‘Hello, World!'”
The happy news comes just weeks after she and Cook married in a “shotgun wedding” over Labor Day weekend. The couple announced their surprise nuptials by sharing a photo of both of their hands — wearing fresh wedding bands, natch — cradling her baby bump.
Stiles and Cook, a camera assistant, first met in 2015 on the set of Go With Me (AKA Blackway), and got engaged over Christmas of that year. At the time, Stiles announced the happy news via — you guessed it! — Instagram, posting a beachside shot of herself and her fiancé holding hands, with her beautiful, minimalist’s-dream engagement ring front and center.
The 10 Things I Hate About You star first revealed that she was expecting back in June. Congrats to the growing family!
