What You Totally Missed About Julianne Hough Hairstyle Is the Best Part
As a general rule of thumb, when you’re wearing super bold clothing or a statement outfit, it’s best to leave your hair as uncomplicated as possible. A great go-to style is a simple and sleek bun — it’s an easy and chic way to both get your hair out of your face and to look full glam within minutes. While low chignons are undoubtedly beautiful just as they are, sometimes a little tweaking can take them from great to totally amazing and far, far from boring. Actress, singer and dancer Julianne Hough showed us all how it’s done at this year’s American Music Awards.
Julianne wowed on the red carpet of the 2015 AMAs with her leg bearing dress, but what wasn’t so obvious was her next level ‘do. With the aid of hair guru and co-owner of Nine Zero One salon in LA Riawna Capri, Julianne rocked a low bun with a stunning twist — a carefully woven and graphic zig-zag part.
Forget stick-straight center and dramatic side parts, this criss-cross action is our new obsession — it’s impossibly elegant. Perhaps what is most impressive about this ‘do is how it complements Julianne’s overall ensemble rather than making things too busy (which admittedly, is a fine line to tread). On her Instagram account, hairstylist Riawna even revealed that this particular hairstyle was her “trying something new.” If this is how all of Riawna’s hair experiments look, we call dibs on being her next test subject.
