16-Year-Old Kaia Gerber Just Announced Her First Fashion Line With Karl Lagerfeld
At 16 years old, most of us are trying to learn how to drive or just survive high school unscathed. Then again, most of us aren’t Kaia Gerber. Cindy Crawford’s lookalike daughter has traveled the world, walked the runway for fashion houses such as Marc Jacobs, Burberry, Alexander Wang, Coach, Prada, Chanel, Fendi, Moschino, and Versace (to name a few) and covered Vogue Paris, and she’s just getting started: The young trendsetter is now designing her very own fashion collection with Chanel’s own Karl Lagerfeld!
Just months after walking the runway for Chanel’s 2018 Métiers d’Art show in Hamburg, Germany, the legendary designer has tapped Gerber for a capsule collection that’s slated to hit stores in September according to Women’s Wear Daily.
The outlet reports that Karl Lagerfeld x Kaia collection will feature “ready-to-wear and accessories, including footwear, sunglasses and jewelry” to be sold globally in Karl Lagerfeld stores, online, and “with select wholesale partners.”

“When Karl first told us his idea to collaborate with Kaia, we were all excited by the incredible potential and power of bringing their two worlds together,” Pier Paolo Righi, chief executive officer of Karl Lagerfeld, told WWD. “We have been working intensely over the last months with Kaia in LA and at our studio in Paris. It was exciting to see her clear vision, passion and engagement, and the collection will definitely inspire many young women.”
The budding model has made her designing debut earlier this summer, creating an edgy bag for Marc Jacobs that brought her relaxed West Coast vibes to life. Lagerfeld, meanwhile, is known for his signature classic Parisian designs.
We can’t wait to see what these two come up with together!
