Kate Bosworth’s New Shoe Line Was Made for Coachella Babes
The music at Coachella is great, but let’s be honest here, people, we all know that festivals are as much about what you wear as they are about who you listen to. Among the endless “street style” pics that pop up during the course of the musical weekend, there are a couple celebs we can always count on seeing in attendance. There’s Alexa Chung in some version of roughed up denim shorts, Vanessa Hudgens cloaked in an ultra boho ensemble and then there’s Kate Bosworth (AKA the unofficial poster child of Coachella). Whether it’s a crocheted dress or a boxy military jacket, Bosworth is the pretty much the queen of festival fashion. And with a new shoe collaboration designed specifically for festival wear, it’s looking like this starlet is well on her way to securing her place on the throne.
Bosworth is working with footwear brand Matisse on a line of 10 different shoe styles that are both super cool and very wearable, a crucial combo for Coachella wear. Each shoe is representative of important milestones and aspects of Bosworth’s life. She’s added in a little surf inspiration as a nod to her breakout film Blue Crush. The star studded booties are a a tribute to her favorite sports team, the Dallas Cowboys. Her current obsession with ’60s inspired shoes certainly explains the abundance of Mary Janes and chunky heels.
Bosworth told WWD, “The truth is, shoes have to be wearable and functional. There are some women who wear 7-inch stilettos and run around. That’s not me. That’s not the collection. I want to feel comfortable and also very fashionable in my life.” We feel ya, girl.
The capsule collection, which ranges in price from $295 and $505, is set to launch in March of 2015 in Nordstrom locations nationwide. We have a pretty good guess as to what Kate will be wandering around in come April.
