Kate Middleton Looked Just Like Disney’s Queen Elsa in This Gorgeous Ice Blue Gown
Though the biggest style news of the day undoubtedly belongs to Meghan Markle, who slayed her engagement photos in a bridal-white coat that’s been renamed in her honor, she’s not the only one making a Royal sartorial splash. The Duchess of Cambridge had her own fairy-tale moment over the weekend in a gorgeous ice-blue, jewel-encrusted frock that had us flashing back to Queen Elsa from Frozen.
Attending the Royal Variety Performance at the Palladium Theatre in London on Friday, Middleton donned a Jenny Packham floor-length blue silk gown featuring a sheer overlay which was covered in intricate star and flower beadwork.
The overall effect was pure ice queen, sparking immediate comparisons to Frozen‘s leading lady (not unlike the Atelier Versace dress Blake Lively wore to Cannes back in 2016).
The Duchess of Cambridge topped her look off with her signature bouncy waves, a classic smokey eye, and glittery silver Oscar de la Renta storybook pumps.
It’s official: Markle may soon be a princess by marriage, but Middleton’s still our reigning Queen of style!
Long live the fashionable Royals!
