Kate Middleton Wore an Oversized Headband and Now We Want to Too
Royal style icon and hair accessory connoisseur Kate Middleton just proved that oversized headbands are the must-have finishing touch we need in our winter wardrobe. On Sunday, January 6, the Duchess of Cambridge made her first appearance of 2019 at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in King’s Lynn, England, where she showcased a show-stopping blue headband.
Never one to shy away from statement hair accessories, Middleton wore the Jane Taylor Diamond Crepe Pleated Band ($755). The oversized blue crepe band features pleating throughout and a major bow moment at the back. She paired the pice with a matching Catherine Walker coat dress, a style that she first wore back in 2018 during her third pregnancy. If you love Middleton’s look but can’t spare nearly $800 on a hair accessory, there are options to achieve her trendsetting style on a budget. Try the Lele Sadoughi Navy Velvet Headband (above, $45), the Cara Pleated Knot Headband ($28), or Something Navy Knot Headband ($29).
