Kate Middleton Had a Second Wedding Dress… Who Knew?
Kate Middleton’s wedding dress is one of the most iconic wedding looks of all time, as it single-handedly ushered in the trend of lace and long-sleeves in recent times… but did you know she actually wore a second dress that the world collectively somehow never knew existed?
We all remember her breathtakingly gorgeous Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown that cost a reported $434,000 to make, but it turns out, that wasn’t the only white dress the Duchess of Cambridge donned on her big day.
According to Marie Claire, Middleton changed into a stunning ivory satin dress (also by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen) after the public festivities were over to celebrate an “intimate affair” at Buckingham Palace that same night. While a rumored 23 million viewers in the US alone (and 24 million in their native UK) tuned in to watch Prince William marry his Princess, none of us got to see her beautiful second dress, and we’re in a state of shock.
Middleton’s second dress is strapless with a sweetheart neckline, and she accessorized with a diamante belt and a white angora bolero. She wore her hair in soft, loose curls, and it seems we might never get a glimpse of her shoes or jewelry, besides that stunning engagement ring.
