Kate Middleton Wore Red on Valentine’s Day in the Most Surprising Way
Valentine’s Day is smack in the middle of winter (according to Punxsutawny Phil, anyhow), and it’s so *cold* outside. It’s chilly even thinking about slipping into that beautiful dress you’ve been dying to wear for your date night. Never fear — royal style icon Kate Middleton has come to the rescue with a surprising take on Valentine’s Day style that’ll keep you toasty.
On Tuesday, Duchess Kate visited air cadets at RAF Wittering. Kate looked sleek in a red Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini’s twill blazer ($1,515), black pants, coordinating gloves and Kiki McDonough Lauren heart-shaped earrings.

The preppy jacket is part of the Italian brand’s Resort ’17 collection. The double-breasted blazer is accentuated with embossed gold buttons and was inspired by the work of French designer Jean Bouquin who was responsible for developing actress Brigitte Bardot’s effortless boho French girl look.
