PDA Alert! Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx Were Spotted Holding Hands on the Beach
After years of speculation about Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx’s relationship status, we finally got what seemed like solid confirmation that they were a couple this past spring. Since then, we’ve seen more and more hints about their long-rumored romance, culminating this weekend in a Labor Day getaway in Malibu, where paps caught the two holding hands on the beach.
TMZ posted a gallery of photos of the couple walking along the shore on Monday, September 4. According to the site, the pair spent the long weekend relaxing in Malibu without their kids. (Holmes has daughter Suri with ex-husband Tom Cruise, and Foxx has two daughters, Corinne and Annalise, from previous relationships.)
Prior to their romantic time together, Holmes reportedly took Suri to the Malibu Chili Cook-Off and Carnival. According to E! News, Foxx attended the same event one day later.
The Dawson’s Creek alum has done her best to keep her personal life out of the spotlight since her divorce from Cruise five years ago. And though Foxx’s friend Claudia Jordan let slip back in April that he and Holmes were very happy together — a statement she later recanted — both stars have remained mum about their rumored pairing, with Foxx insisting on multiple occasions that he’s single.
During an interview on The Graham Norton Show just a few months ago, the Baby Driver actor said that his age made it hard to actively date. “It’s tough out there,” the 49-year-old told the host. “I am getting older but people think I am younger. I was at a club the other night and a group of girls shouted my name. I was like, ‘Hey, what’s up?’ and they said, ‘We go to school with your daughter!’ You have to be so careful.”
