Katy Perry’s New CoverGirl Collab Is Made Especially for Mermaids

Exciting things have been happening for Katy Perry as of late. She’s got a short new platinum hairdo, a brand new single, and a new shoe line, to boot.

But that’s not all: Katy is also expanding her beauty empire with a new, mermaid-inspired take on the line she launched with CoverGirl last summer.

Dubbed the Katy Kat Pearl Collection, the line will be comprised of four new eyeliners ($8) (two of which are currently up for grabs, with more to come this summer), four lipsticks ($8), and two shadow and highlighter duos ($8).

As Katy told POPSUGAR via email, “In the next evolution of my Katy Kat line with CoverGirl, I was inspired by spring’s mermaid and pearlescent hues.”

The result? “Cheerful” lip and eye colors in shades of icy blue, “apricat,” and “purmaid green,” as well as some extra fancy (read: glittery) liners. As Katy perhaps put it best, “You’ll make Ariel (possibly played by Lindsay Lohan?) jealous and look better than a shimmering Easter basket when you’re done.”

Considering how impressed we were with the line’s debut lipsticks (which are kind of incredible for the price, TBH, and also vaguely smell of cupcakes), we’re totally sold!
