“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” Teases Its 10th Anniversary With a Nostalgic Look Back
Talk about nostalgia! Keeping Up With the Kardashians is celebrating its 10th anniversary on October 1, and in honor of the occasion, the first family of reality TV is going back to basics by recreating their iconic season one show opener. A lot has changed over the years, but the core KarJenner ladies remain, and if this teaser is any indication, season 10 is going to be fire.
The “Keep It Kardashian: Back to the Start” trailer splices together bits from the series’ first few episodes as matriarch Kris Jenner prepares to take off in a helicopter. “No matter how far they go,” the trailer reads, “they never go alone.”
We then get glimpses of the rest of the family in the present day: Kourtney lounging in the sun with a Younes Bendjima doppelganger playing pool boy, Khloé working out, Kendall running from a fashion show to meet the family, and Kylie driving her Lambo. Then comes the famous line from the original series opener — “Where’s Kim?” — before the KKW Beauty founder arrives in head-to-toe nude sequins. How very Kim.
As in the original sequence, everyone (sans Caitlyn and Rob) lines up together in front of a fake city backdrop, with Kylie pulling a rope to reveal the family’s original house, all while that familiar KUWTK whistle tune plays in the background.
After 10 years and 14 seasons, the family continues to be full of surprise. And with so much gossip surrounding everything from Khloé and Kourtney’s current romances to whether Kim and husband Kanye West have hired a surrogate, we suspect season 14 will be just as wild as its predecessors.
